Dr. Stanley Pearle opened the first Pearle Vision in 1961. Our original Savannah, GA, location brought optometrists and opticians together to give patients the eye care and retail options they needed under one roof. From the beginning, Pearle Vision has prioritized stocking a full range of fashionable frames while providing the highest quality eye care.
As our brand spread nationwide in the 1970s and ‘80s, customers flocked to their local Pearle Vision EyeCare Centers to see better and look better. To share our all-in-one approach to eye care with even more people, we began franchising in 1981.
